Balancing Social Media, the Internet & Gaining Personal Happiness in 2022

One of today’s many challenges is dealing with the fact that computers hurt our health. Our vision, our mental health, our sleep schedule, our mood, and our job performance are all potentially negatively and positively affected by technology, the key is the dose and type of engagement. Let’s talk about how we have all had enough social media, but not enough social nature, or social reality and a retreat we can take on our own or through the Renacimiento group to “cure our insanity.”
As Parceleuas pointed out in the 1400’s “Everything is with toxin and remedy, it is the dose that decides,” [1] and different species and types of nutrition have different “best engagements.”
We are always looking for the best engagements that serve multiple purposes to take us to the next level.
Diversity is key and we have learned this from nature. When an investigator wants to know the truth about something he performs a diverse set of tests, or interviews a diverse group of people who had been engaged with a person, place, or thing. A diverse day is going to be more productive.
This being known, the practice of one hour of work at the desk for one hour of work with the hands, doing different tasks, having exercise worked into the production cycle like the wind in the day is for nature, or working on different projects back and forth in an organized constant fashion will define optimal job performance for every practitioner. We could say “occupational diversity” in this case. Culturally we all recognize that travel or “geographic diversity,” opens the mind and gains insight and perspective for the traveler.
Social Media has numerous concerns and known toxicities to consider. Our time should be limited, and notifications for these types of applications can be turned off, to lessen engagement. I myself use an alternative application called Signal for chats that give notifications this way only a few people can reach me at any time, whereas my notification for the plethora of Whatsapp and Facebook messages are usually turned off.
What is the appropriate time to be on social media per day? While this is debatable, our answer is no more than one-half hour. Out of 24 valuable hours in the day, you simply cannot afford to spend more than one-half hour on these things. The toxicity factor of news feeds, and statute or stories updates are real, and this is now a matter known science [1,2,3,..], the potential for intentional manipulation of mass-market brains is very profound in this realm of internet media, and some social media platforms are using this highly effective power of propaganda to change the landscape in which we live in.
Without sidetracking into how the people who are in charge of all this are highly contaminated by the disease known as toorich, and they know they need a bunch of us to continue assembling and driving for them their luxury planes, boats and waiting on their every need so we need to be logically wary of too much time spent on social media, especially if you already have a …job.. as an employee somewhere.
Gaining personal happiness should be the focus of everyone coming out of such a frustrating dictatorship of the world through the pandemic. We have a serious divide now of people who do their own research and take their immune systems and their health seriously, versus a group of people who follow blindly like horses after a carrot, think that their health is everyone around them’s responsibility, and curse anyone who has not fallen to their same plight of obedience and dependence on the system. The second group seems to take it very personally that some do not join them resting on that crutch, and are able to stand up and have their own thoughts and actions outside of the mono-culture.
As any reader is starting to deduce now, I personally detest anyone who needs any help from the government or anyone else to do what they want to do. Do it. Don’t talk about doing it. Don’t look to others to do it. Do whatever it takes to do what you need and want to do, this is the basics of being a man.
Weakness is showing is too many these days, too many are on the computer in social media for too much of their life. They don’t sleep well, think clearly, or have any discipline at all – they look to the machine for their answers and their brain food. This is a huge mistake.
On the island where I am now so, many come here to this rare and majestic Caribbean beauty and spend all their time and money going to the bar. What a tragedy. Hotel California, Margaritaville, we didn’t know it then, not even the songwriters, but these sounds were the warning shots for a much worse whiney public drama scenario.
I am looking forward to getting back into some video gaming with my kiddo, that being said no chance will I lose too much time it and I think about the poor kids these days, and how they have been pushed up to the screen, and told to stay there in so many ways. Many young people have a diminished interest in nature and doing what they need to do.
This life is a pleasure cruise where we do nothing, criticize everything, and blame everyone else. How did this division from one another and nature and natural behavior come to be?
Are the questions more important than the solutions? They really are not. They are important definitely but right now what’s important is lessening the time spent on the computer, in front of the TV, and definitely on social media.
One great idea is taking a nature and nutrition wellness retreat away from all of it! Maybe add a language barrier in there! Apply below to reconnect from nature and disconnect from toxicity – you won’t believe the results!
